You enjoy working in accounting beyond routine tasks and want to actively shape and improve processes? You like combining hands-on bookkeeping with analytical thinking and controlling, and working across Austrian and German accounting structures. For our internal finance department, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented colleague in part-time (at least 30 hours) or full-time.

If you’re passionate about startups, have a solid grasp of accounting principles, and want to enhance the efficiency of financial operations, this role is the perfect fit.
Your areas of responsibility
  • Handling day-to-day accounting operations for Austria and Germany
  • Processing incoming invoices and ensuring correct allocation and posting
  • Preparing and supporting weekly pay runs
  • Performing account reconciliations and ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Supporting controlling activities, including store controlling and variance analysis
  • Acting as a contact person for external partners such as tax advisors, accountants, and auditors
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Maintaining and improving accounting and controlling processes with a strong focus on efficiency and scalability
  • Working with ERP and accounting systems to ensure reliable financial data
  • Preparing ad-hoc analyses and monthly reports for internal stakeholders
Your profile
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in Austria
  • Solid knowledge of Austrian accounting standards; experience with German accounting is a plus
  • Experience working with an ERP or accounting system (e.g. BMD, DATEV, Odoo or comparable systems)
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and controlling principles
  • High affinity for process-oriented work and continuous improvement
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Advanced Google Sheets / spreadsheet skills
  • Structured, reliable, and independent working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

    Nice to have
  • Experience in German accounting (DE)
  • Experience with Odoo
  • Experience with expense management tools

Salary: The salary for this position from 45.000 - 49.000 for full-time. Your actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
Location: Our headquarters in Vienna, on a hybrid WFH basis
